Asia Minor's tour of Turkey was one of the best travel
experiences of our lives. Every aspect was at the top of its class: hotels, restaurants,
van, driver, pace, thoroughness, value. The knowledgeable guide taught us the
antiquities, culture and history of this extraordinary, fascinating and friendly
land and daily led us to a hidden treasure not in the guidebooks or an off-track
experience or meal that vastly enhanced our enjoyment and experience. Combine all
this with small group travel and an amazingly low price and this is THE Turkey
tour to take.

Very special thanks to Yildiz, Levent, Umit, Gul and everyone else associated with
Asia Minor Tours which put together one delightful and cost efficient trip! Our
group is already talking about getting back to Turkey - fall of 2003 -- to cover
the central, northern, and eastern regions. The more I read, the more I want to
see! You certainly are welcome to hyperlink to my site and use me as a reference.

Asia Minor Tour arranged for my wife, two children (ages 9 and 11) and me to visit Turkey
during the summer of 2002. Simply put, it was the best trip of our lives. The success of
our Turkey vacation was due to our good fortune of having hooked up with Asia Minor Tours.
Our guides were extremely well-educated and were experts in Anatolian history and Asia
Minor's diverse cultures that span many millenia. Asia Minor Tours selected memorable
restuarants and unforgettable accommodations. Our guides anticipated our every need.
Asia Minor Tours provided us with professional, organized itinerary while while remaining
flexible to change to make last-minute adjustments at our request. Having been to Turkey,
it is now obvious to me that our trip there would not have been one-tenth as successful if
we had tried to travel by ourselves.
One last comment. Like many Americans, we were initially apprehensive about traveling to
a Muslim country, but in Turkey, our anxieties turned out to be baseless. Turkey is a
secular society, not an Islamic theocracy. In fact, I can say without reservation that
we felt safer anywhere in Turkey at anytime in the day or night than we would in
any American city.

My wife and I took the Archaeological Odyssey
1: Lycia, Pamphylia, & Pisidia offered by Asia Minor Travel
& Tours. This was our second trip conducted by this company. We found Turkey
a treasure house of archaeological splendors of the pre-Hellenistic, Hellenistic
and Roman periods. Turkey is a country of natural beauty, rich in history and very
hospitable people. The main feature of this tour that differentiated it from the
more routine archaeological tours was that we were shown unexcavated sites,
excavated sites and filly restored sites. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable
in history, mythology, and archaeology. He answered all our questions with a
complete command of American English. We are planning to return to Turkey in
October of this year (2002), taking the tour Archaeological
Odyssey 2: Remote Turkey offered by
Asia Minor Travel & Tours.

Our recent trip to Turkey from Pierce College, Lakewood, WA with the
travel group organized by Pierce College and Asia Minor Travel and Tours was
completely fulfilling. I have led and myself enjoyed numerous trips to Europe
and Turkey, but the Turkey experience with Asia Minor exceeded all of our other
extremely satisfying trips. Not only did they put together a remarkable
itinerary which traced history from b.c. to contemporary Turkey, but they have
selected great restaurants for us to taste the specialities of each area, hotels
with ambiance, and an incredible, kind and enthusiastic guide, Aydin Aygun.
Aydin organized flawlessly and had engaging social skills. He had become a
valued friend as well as information provider to each of the eighteen members of
our group.
This trip was called "Treasures of Turkey". I believe the real treasures
of Turkey were the people who we dealt with at this tour. Thank you Asia Minor
for making our visit to Turkey so special.

Last month I and three other faculty members took a group of 25 high school students
and 6 other adults on a 10-day trip to Turkey with Asia Minor Tours. Levent and his
tour guides were incredible. They worked hard to make sure we were busy without being
frantic, informed with being overloaded and made the trip one of the best ever in the
experience of this institution. We are already planning a trip back in two years and
I would not hesitate to use Asia Minor Tours again. Turks are legendary for their
hospitality, but the folks at Asia Minor went above and beyond what was required.
I was most impressed.
