Our Company
After 18 years of leading tours in Turkey,
Asia Minor Travel & Tours opened an office in the United States in
1998 to better serve the needs of our customers. You can communicate
with our U.S. office or directly our Turkey office to plan and pay for your travel arrangements,
our Turkey office will help you with any last minute requests or any problems you
may encounter while traveling in Turkey. This unique partnership allows for
a more personalized service that you normally wouldn't get from a mass-tour
company.
Touring with Us
Asia Minor Travel & Tours specializes in custom
tours with a
strong archaeological and cultural focus. We give priority to meeting
each participant’s needs and take pride in the personal attention we
provide. Our tours are a wonderful learning experience as our guests
meet many of the locals and gain an understanding of the Turkish people
and culture. Additionally, we follow strict guidelines to preserve the
environment and ecology. Simply, our goal is to provide the most
comfortable way of travel possible within the limits of given budgets
while our guests explore the country and enjoy the natural beauty of the
land.
Qualified Staff
The majority of our staff members have an academic background, mainly in
archaeology and history of architecture. All of our guides are
experienced and have an in-depth knowledge of the areas we visit. They
are fluent in English, well-mannered, flexible, and responsible, and all
of them are officially certified professional guides.
Small Groups
The maximum limit for each group is 40, and we run tours for as few as
two. Traveling in small groups allows the participants to get to know
one another and also allows for more flexibility and spontaneity.
Accommodations
We carefully select hotels with high standards that also provide a
genuine feeling of the local culture. We try to avoid international
chain hotels, where possible. The hotels we choose always have modern
amenities in every room. The cleanliness and safety of the facilities is
one of our primary concerns.
Single Travelers
Some people join our tours with a companion, while others come on their
own. We have lots of experience with single travelers, and our tours are
often the beginning of lasting friendships.
For All Ages
Our tours are designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages and
interests. Turkey is a fascinating destination that offers a memorable
travel experience. Whether in the city or countryside, there is always
something to stimulate young and old alike and arouse the spirit of
adventure.
Shopping
We do not arrange any kind of scheduled group shopping. Tour
participants will have plenty of free time to do their own shopping. Our
experienced tour leader will provide you with information and
suggestions on shopping if you desire. However, we will not take any
responsibility for shopping or purchases made in Turkey.
Safety
Safety is high on our list of priorities. All of our drivers are
experienced and have excellent driving records.
Transportation
We use comfortable, air-conditioned buses, minibuses or cars, depending
on the size of the group. We use Turkish Airlines for air transportation
in Turkey. If you have a problem that restricts movement you should
inform us in advance.
Meals
We carefully choose our restaurants so you will have the
opportunity to
sample a wide variety of authentic Turkish cuisine, which is highly
regarded around the world. In order to accomplish this, we usually
choose restaurants outside of the hotel where you can enjoy your meal in
the local atmosphere. We will do our best to accommodate special dietary
preferences as long as we are advised prior to your departure.
Itineraries
Our itineraries are designed to create a balance between traveling,
sightseeing, and leisure time. Each trip has its own highlights.

Terms and Conditions
Deposit and Final Payment
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 per person is due at the time of booking. This deposit forms part of your final payment, which is due 45 days prior to your departure. Bookings made within 45 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Cancellations / Refunds
All cancellations must be in writing to Asia Minor Travel & Tours. The date of cancellation shall be the date on the postal stamp. If Asia Minor Travel & Tours cancels a tour, any money you have paid toward that trip will be refunded in full.

All money lost due to client cancellation can be credited to any other available tour that our company offers within 12 months of cancellation. No refunds can be made for unused portions of any tour.
Insurance
Asia
Minor Travel & Tours cannot be responsible or liable for loss,
damage, or theft of personal belongings, nor can we be liable for
personal injury, accident or illness. We strongly recommend you check
with your personal insurance policy. Additionally, we recommend you to
purchase insurance for trip cancellations, baggage loss, travel accident
and health. We can provide information upon request.
Itinerary Changes
Every effort will be made to ensure that each tour follows the content of the itinerary. However, on occasion, conditions related to weather, failure of any means of transportation, strikes, acts of god or situations beyond our control may require revisions. Any resulting additional expense will be payable by the tour participants and any resulting savings will be refunded by operator to tour participants.
Responsibility
Asia Minor Travel & Tours acts only as an agent for the passengers in regard to transportation and all other travel related services as stated in the itinerary, assumes no responsibility nor liability in connection with the service of any train, bus, minibus, boat, aircraft, carriage, motor or other conveyance which may be used either wholly or in part, in the performance of its duty to the passenger; neither will it be responsible for any act, error or omission or for any personal injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or inconvenience which may be occasioned by reasons of any defect in any vehicle, or through any act, neglect or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. We cannot accept any responsibility for flight delays, cancellations or missed connections and are not liable for any expenses or consequences resulting therefrom.
We reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such person’s health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general demeanor impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of passengers. A refund of unused land tour services is the limit of our liability.
